Requirements

OpenBrief runs media processing locally, with optional cloud AI providers you choose yourself.

  • macOS 13, Windows 11, or a current Linux desktop
  • Local disk space for imported media and generated transcripts
  • An optional API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or OpenRouter
  • Optional bundled tools for YouTube and offline transcription
